Yucatan Mexico

History and the footprints ancient cultures leave behind provide amazing opportunities for photography.

The fascination with the Pyramids of Egypt whets the appetite but to date, opportunity to visit, unfortunately has not presented. The Inca Ruins of South America and my frequent visits to Siem Reap in Cambodia presented unique highlights but left me wanting to see more.

The opportunity to see the Mayan Ruins of the Yucatan in Mexico was fulfilled in May 2008 with a journey taking me from Tulum to Palenque by car, bus and boat.

Chichen Itza was pristine while Tulum gave some insight into how the ancients lived on the cliff edge overlooking the azure waters.
